Description
AITS first aid course covers a broad range of topics to enable participants to confidently manage emergency situations and provide a first aid response to a casualty. It is suitable to both people in workplaces and members of the public who want training in first aid.
Most workplaces require a specific number of people to successfully complete this unit of competency.
The Safe Work Australia First Aid in the Workplace Model Code of Practice requires employers to ensure that their nominated first aiders attend training on a regular basis to remain current.
The Code of Practice recommends that refresher training in CPR should be carried out annually (12 months) and first aid qualifications should be renewed every three (3) years.
